Meet Morat, our latest pick for Billboard Latin's artist On the Rise.

Name: Morat

Members: Juan Pablo Isaza, Simón Vargas, Juan Pablo Villamil and Alejandro Posada

Age: Early twenties

Place of Origin: Bogotá, Colombia

What do they sound like: Perfect summer road trip pop in Spanish, with banjo adding an Americana touch. For fans of Bacilos, Juanes, Enanitos Verdes, Estopa.

Claim to fame: The Colombian college students caught the ear of Paulina Rubio, who wanted to record one of their songs. They brazenly said yes -- if they could record it with her. She agreed, and “Mi Nuevo Vicio” rose to no. 12 the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart. The single went to no. 1 in Spain.
