Summerstage Latin Alternative Line-up Announced

The LAMC brings Mexrrissey, Narcos theme’s Rodrigo Amarante, Leon Larregui and more to Central Park

The artists for the Latin Alternative Music Conference’s 2016 concerts at Central Park Summerstage have been announced.

The Mexican Morrissey cover project Mexrrissey, popular Argentine reggae band Los Cafres, and Paris-based Cuban urban artist La Dame Blanche will perform on July 6.

Rodrigo Amarante, the Brazilian artist interpreter of Netflix’s Narcos theme; the charismatic singer Leon Larregui, best know as the voice of Mexican rock group Zoe; and Nortec Collective offspring Grenda will appear on July 8.

The LAMC, which for over sixteen years has been influential in propelling diverse international artists to new audiences, and to U.S. soundtracks, public radio and festivals, will run from July 6 to 9.

The Latin Alternative Music Conference Celebrates 15 Years

The conference will take place at the Affinia Manhattan hotel, with a week-long schedule of showcases at venues around the city. Artist submissions for the LAMC Discover Award are open until June 7.
