Singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona opened a new school for kids in his native Guatemala, with the inauguration taking place Wednesday (March 30). The Enrique Castillo Monje School becomes the second institution that the "Fuiste Tú" singer has built in the Central American country as part of the work he does with his foundation called Adentro. He opened the first school back in 2014.

"The schools aren't 'fixed' by painting them," said Arjona during his speech at the ceremony. "Schools are fixed by making them and worrying about the pedagogic system."

The singer also took to social media to celebrate the new project: "We can't ask the future for anything if we don't educate our people in the present ... It's a great day in Guate. There is one more school here."

The school will focus on providing music and art education to low income children.
