Nicky Jam is the latest urban artist to join Vin Diesel on the big screen. The Boston-born singer is set to make his acting debut with the Hollywood star in the movie xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

The "El Perdón" singer joins fellow Latin artists such as Don Omar, Tego Calderon and Romeo Santos, who have all graced the big screen in movies starring Diesel. The Puerto Rican reggaetoneros had small, but memorable, roles in the fifth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. Don Omar and Tego play the roles of escaped prisoners who help Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his camp on their latest mission. The song "Danza Kuduro" was also part of the Fast Five soundtrack.

The King of Bachata showed off his acting skills in Universal Pictures' Furious 7 with his character Armando, a close friend of Toretto's who lends him a hand on some business matters.

Although specific details regarding Jam's character on xXx have not been revealed, by the looks of his social-media platforms, he is on set with Diesel shooting scenes in the Dominican Republic. The film is set to hit theaters in January 2017.
