Happy Colors, El Dusty and Raquel Sofía among diverse artists to perform
Ciudad Sonido, a new festival slated for May 27 and 28 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, will feature diverse artists from Latin America and the U.S. alongside emerging local talents. DJs El Dusty and Happy Colors, and Puerto Rican alternative pop singer Raquel Sofia are among the names that have been announced by promoter Sparkof Entertainment Group.
“The idea of Ciudad Sonido is to create an environment to bring out the emerging talents from the Latin-American market and integrate them with the new local artists,” Sparkof President Jafet Santiago said in a statement. He added that musical diversity is the key concept of the festival, which this year will include the moombathon, global bass, rock, “Caribbean bohemia,” Puerto Rican cumbia and “Electrópico.”
“The new trend is that the Millennials are looking for different and more organic rhythms rather than the popular genres,” Santiago added.
