Whoopi Goldberg, Enrique Santos to Host Marc Anthony's Maestro Cares Gala

Marc Anthony and Gente de Zona will perform at charity event

Actress Whoopi Goldberg and Spanish-language radio and TV presenter Enrique Santos will host the Maestro Cares Foundation’s 2016 Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala on Feb. 16.

Salsa and pop star Marc Anthony, who is the co-founder of Maestro Cares, and Cuban duo Gente de Zona will perform at the black-tie cocktail and dinner event, set to take place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

During the gala, Latin Grammy-winning singer Juan Luis Guerra will receive the Community Hero Award for his work with the foundation that bears his name.

A Global Humanitarian award will be presented to President Bill Clinton, and F.J. Pollak, President and CEO of TracFone Wireless, will receive the award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cárdenas founded the Maestro Cares Foundation in 2012 to offer educational programs and other services to homeless and neglected children in developing Latin American countries.
