Fresh on the heels of their ninth top 10 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, reggaeton duo Zion y Lennox has signed an exclusive recording deal with Warner Music Latina.

The duo, made up of Feliz Ortiz (Zion) and Gabriel Pizarro (Lennox), is in the midst of putting finishing touches on their new album, Motivan2, set for release in 2016.

“Were so proud to know that our new label has noticed what we’ve done and is excited with our recent hits,” said the duo in a statement.

Formed in 2001 at the very onset of the reggaeton movement, Zion y Lennox have always released independently, initially through tracks included in several compilation albums, including Mas Flow and Mas Flow 2. The pair released their first album in 2004, featuring acts like Luny Tunes and Pitbull.

It would be six years before the pair released a follow up, Los Verdaderos, featuring Daddy Yankee, J Balvin and Tony Dize, among others.

Along the way, they scored their first No. 1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay as a featured act on Tito El Bambino's “Mi cama huele a ti,” in 2009. This week, new single “Tengo ganas de ti” reached No. 10 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. All told, Zion y Lennoz have had 23 charted songs and sold upwards of 100,000 albums in the U.S., according to Nielsen.

The duo is now Warner’s second urban act; the label’s roster also includes rising Colombian rapper Reykon
