When pianist Arthur Hanlon walked into Sony Music with the possibility of landing a record deal, he did what he does best: He played the piano.

“There were all these A&R directors there, and I sat down with my band, and we came up with the concept of the album,” he tells Billboard.

“For me, my piano is more than an instrument -- it’s flesh and blood.”

Viajero, due out in March, will feature tracks from nine different countries Hanlon visited to record the album, including Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
