Pop duo Jesse & Joy earn their first No. 1 on Top Latin Albums (chart dated Dec. 26) as Un Besito Mas arrives at the crowning spot with 3,000 copies sold during the tracking week ending Dec. 10 (according to Nielsen Music).

The entry marks the fourth charted set for the Mexican siblings who first reached the tally in 2009 with Electricidad (No. 14 peak).

Single “Ecos de Amor,” from Besito, hops 35-32 on Hot Latin Songs in its 12th week. When the track debuted on the Oct. 10-dated chart, it ended a 22-week run of having no female-led songs on the chart. “Ecos” peaked at No. 30 (Nov. 7).

Over on Latin Pop Songs, the pair net the highest weekly debut with the set’s second single, “No Soy Una De Esas” featuring Alejandro Sanz. The song arrives at No. 19 -- the act’s best entrance to date (of 15 charted songs). “Ecos” concurrently slides 19-24 on the list.

Karen Rodriguez: American Idol alum (season 10) Karen Rodriguez makes her Billboard chart debut (as a lead act) with her viral Spanish-language rendition of Adele’s “Hello,” entering the Latin Pop Digital Songs chart at No. 4 (2,000 downloads). A video posted on Rodriquez’s YouTube channel has accrued over 3.2 million views since being uploaded on Dec. 1, also supporting a No. 3 debut on the Billboard + Twitter Emerging Artists chart.

Rodriguez spoke with Billboard, sharing “I just connected with the song and really had the urge of writing and singing it in Spanish. I never expected my Spanglish version to go viral!”

When asked about how she adapted the English song to Spanish she reveals, “It was my own interpretation and I chose to write it in a way that made sense to me but still kept the essence of the original.”

While Rodriguez enjoys her first solo chart arrival, she is no stranger to the Latin charts -- as a songwriter. She was a co-writer on Romeo Santos’ 2014 smash hit “Odio,” featuring Drake -- a 13-week chart leader on Hot Latin Songs.

Los Tigres Take No. 1: Billboard chart titans Los Tigres del Norte extend their lead for most No. 1s on Regional Mexican Albums as Desde El Azteca becomes the act’s 24th leader on the list (1,000 copies sold).

The veteran band scored its first No. 1 in 1985 when La Jaula topped the list, and has consistently posted chart-topping set’s since. With the exception of 1990-1995, 2010, 2012 and 2013, Los Tigres have scored at least one No. 1 every year since 1985.
