New Shows to Be Announced Soon

After selling out the first four dates of its reunion tour in less than three hours, Aventura repeated the feat.

The group announced four new dates -- Feb. 11, 12, 13 and 14 -- going on sale at 2 p.m. ET Friday (Dec. 11). Less than an hour later, all 15,000 tickets were sold out.

Now, another set of dates is expected to be announced.

Aventura to Reunite With Romeo Santos

Aventura, the bachata supergroup that globalized the Dominican Republic’s popular genre by infusing it with R&B and urban sounds, disbanded in 2011 after becoming the top-selling Latin act in the U.S. The group’s frontman, Romeo Santos, went on to become the top-selling Latin act in the U.S. This year, he is Billboard’s Top Latin Artist on our year-end charts for the second year in a row.

His reunion with Aventura is being billed as a one-time-only event that will consist of shows in the group’s native New York during the month of February.

The shows, produced by promoter Felix Cabrera, will take place at the New York Palace Theater in New York, located at 175th Street and Broadway. Tickets for the initial Feb. 4-7 run went on sale at 6 a.m. Friday and were all gone within three hours.
