Latin American Music Awards: Maluma, Lil Jon, Natalie La Rose, Gloria Trevi & More to Perform

The first-ever Latin American Music Awards are shaping up to be an international affair, with performances from stars in and outside the Latin music world.

Among the first names confirmed to perform on Telemundo’s star-studded awards show are Latin urban idol Yandel, actor and singer Jencarlos Canela, Colombian phenom Maluma, Mexican millennial Luis Coronel, Mexican pop diva Gloria Trevi, regional Mexican superstar Gerardo Ortiz, CD9 (the five-member boy band from Mexico that’s making its U.S. debut), and Italian pop trio Il Volo. They join hip-hop don Lil Jon and Dutch R&B sensation Natalie La Rose.

And that’s just the first round of performers. Stay tuned for more announcements soon about the Latin AMAs, which will honor today’s most influential Latin artists as voted by fans in the traditional format of the American Music Awards. Fans from the U.S. and Puerto Rico can vote online now at through Sept. 30 to determine the winners. Fans worldwide can vote via Twitter by posting a tweet that contains the nominee's first and last name, category and the hashtag #LatinAMAs.
