Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio since 2011, has been reassigned, named president of political & advocacy sales for the company. Valle will no longer be involved in its radio division.

In turn, Jaime Jimenez, evp of Univision Local Media, will now oversee content for Univision’s 67 radio stations. Jimenez will also be in charge of Univision Radio’s operating hubs in Los Angeles, Miami and San Antonio.

Valle, who is an officer of Univision Communications, will remain in Los Angeles, reporting to Keith Turner, president, Advertising Sales & Marketing for the company.

During his tenure at Univision Radio, Valle was a proponent of leveraging radio efforts with Univision’s other platforms. Valle also launched Univision Radio’s very successful Uforia app, which allows streaming of all its stations from smartphones.

Jimenez comes to his new post with experience in radio and television, including having served as evp of local media, overseeing both TV and radio stations. He was also svp and general manager for Univision’s radio cluster in Los Angeles.

Jiménez will also continue to be based in Los Angeles, reporting to Kevin Cuddihy, president of Univision Local Media.
