Reggaetón acts Farruko and Gocho, who are both producers in addition to songwriters, are the latest signings to Sony/ATV Music Publishing Latin America’s roster. Farruko has been signed to a long-term, worldwide co-publishing deal while Gocho was signed to a long-term worldwide administration deal.

Farruko, who last April signed as a recording artist with Sony Music US Latin, rose to prominence after being featured in “6 a.m.,” the runaway hit he co-wrote and recorded with J Balvin. The track spent 52 weeks on the Billboard charts, reaching No. 1 on Latin Airplay, Latin Pop and Latin rhythm airplay. But Farruko didn’t stop there. His single “Passion Whine” also peaked at No. 1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, and he’s currently featured on singles with Alejandra Guzman, Chino y Nacho and Los de La Nazza. Farruko is currently working on a new album for Sony.

Gocho (real name José Angel Torres), has been successfully writing and producing reggaetón hits for the past several years, including Angel & Khryz’s “Ven Báilalo.” Gocho also produced the reggaeton version of Shakira’s hit “La Tortura” and co-wrote Wisin’s “Adrenalina” (featuring Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez).
