Regional Mexican singer Chiquis Rivera crowns Top Latin Albums with her debut set Ahora, selling 7,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen Music. The daughter of the late Jenni Rivera becomes the first female to top the chart since her mother opened at No. 1 on Dec. 20, 2014 with the posthumous 1 Vida-3 Historias: Matamorfosis -- Despedida de Culican. The Riveras become the first mother/daughter, and only the third parent/child, combination to reach No. 1 on Top Latin Albums, following Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez (each with five No. 1s) and Julio and Enrique Iglesias (one and eight, respectively). Further, Jenni Rivera's brother Lupillo Rivera has also topped the chart, making the Riveras the only family to have three members score No. 1s as solo acts. The only other siblings to do so are Selena and her brother A.B. Quintanilla lll.
'Gozadera' Grows: On Hot Latin Songs, Cuban duo Gente de Zona leaps 17-9 with "La Gozadera" (featuring Marc Anthony), marking its second top 10. The pair is best known for its collaboration as a featured act on Enrique Iglesias' "Bailando" (also featuring Descemer Bueno), which spent a record 41 weeks at No. 1."Gozadera" scales Hot Latin Songs as both the top Streaming and Digital Gainer, scoring a 195 percent rise in streams (to 649,000 weekly clicks, spurred, in part, by the release of its video June 5) and a 101 percent growth in digital sales (to 5,000 downloads).
Santos' Tropical Trifecta: Dominican bachata veteran Anthony Santos tops Tropical Songs for a third time as "Que Cosas Tiene El Amor," featuring Prince Royce, jumps 7-1. The track is up 58 percent in spins at the format, during the tracking week ending June 7, earning the Greatest Gainer tag.
