Alejandro Sanz attends 'Sirope' album presentation at Reina Sofia Museum on May 4, 2015 in Madrid, Spain.

Sanz will search for the next big Latin boy band with fellow judges Ricky Martin & Laura Pausini.

While music reality shows are ostensibly discovery tools, their clout as major marketing tools for artists continues to grow in the Latin music world.

Witness the latest additions to the judge’s lineup for La Banda (The Band), the upcoming music reality show that will look for Latin music’s next boy band. Spanish superstar Alejandro Sanz, on the heels of the release of his new album, Sirope, has joined Italian star Laura Pausini and superstar Ricky Martin in the judges' panel. Martin, who is also credited as a show producer, is also a judge on The Voice Australia.

Simon Cowell & Univision's Search Is On for 'Ultimate Latino Boy Band'

Sanz and Pausini both join the show following stints on La Voz (The Voice) in Mexico among other reality shows.

La Banda is set to premiere on the Univision network in September. The show’s format was created by Univision with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Saban Brands and co-produced by FremantleMedia Latin America.

Sanz released his newest album, Sirope, on Universal on May 5.
