Crossover star in the making Prince Royce sat down with Billboard for candid interviews prior to his performances at the launch of Billboard En Vivo on April 3 at New York City’s Poisson Rouge and April 7 at Chicago’s Untitled Supper Club.

Fans want to know details, details and more details about Royce’s upcoming English-language debut. Royce shared that he’d been working with several producers, including Max Martin, and that fans would hear a “different” side of himself on his new album, one that’s always been there, but never had a chance to be revealed.

Finally, Royce also dispelled any notion that his bachata-singing days in Spanish could be over. “Never,” he said. In fact, he’s working on a new Spanish-language album even as he preps his English debut.
