Prince Royce Opens New Tour in Puerto Rico, Wisin Joins Him On Stage: Watch

Bachata star Prince Royce has begun the first leg of his most recent tour with about 12,000 fans in tow who joined him for the "Soy El Mismo" tour opener in Puerto Rico.

Royce was joined by reggaeton star Wisin at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico on Friday (March 7). The bachata entertainer performed some of his hits including “Stand by Me,” “Corazón Sin Cara,” and “Darte Un Beso.”

The new tour is in support of the "Soy El Mismo" album, which debuted atop the Top Latin Albums chart in October and spent two weeks at No. 1. Additionally, it spent six weeks at the top of Tropical albums and sold 19,000 copies in its opening week, his second-best debut after "Phase II" entered with 23,000.

The tour continues to other countries including Colombia, Mexico and Argentina, among other places.

Royce, who in 2013 signed a major recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment, is a finalist for 16 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The awards show will air live on Telemundo on April 24 from the BankUnited Center in Miami, Fla.
