Jarabe de Palo

Jarabe de Palo

Spanish road warriors to play 36 dates in U.S. and Canada.

Jarabe de Palo's live shows are the flip side of the steady output of pleasing songs that started with the band's biggest hit, 1997's "La Flaca." Singer-songwriter Pau Donés and his group have received 16 deserved Latin Grammy nominations over the years, including three for their 2014 album Somos. But the Barcelona-based band can best be appreciated at concerts that typically blow out into a kind of rock n' roll rumba

The road warriors, whose constant touring has served to keep their indie spirit alive, start a string of 36-consecutive dates tonight (March 12) in Boston. Jarabe de Palo will play their first ever shows across Canada, and perform in U.S. cities like Wilmington and Salt Lake City, outside the typical circuit for Spanish-language bands.
