Latin pop star Chayanne arrives at No. 1 with his latest studio set, while Juan Luis Guerra y 440, Johnny Sky & Farruko make waves.
On the Top Latin Albums chart, singer Chayanne springs 17-1 with his latest album, En Todo Estare. Its jump to No. 1 -- fueled by 10,000 copies sold in the week ending Aug. 31 according to Nielsen SoundScan -- comes a week after early street-date violation sales pushed the album onto the chart at No. 17.
The climb marks the pop superstar's fifth No. 1 and first since No Hay Imposible spent two weeks at the top in 2010. The new set's first single, "Humanos a Marte," peaked at No. 3 last month on Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay, and remains in the top 10 on the latter chart (5-7).
'Tus Besos' Big Debut: Juan Luis Guerra y 440 posts the highest debut of his 25-year charting career on Latin Airplay as "Tus Besos" opens at No. 5. The track starts with 8.2 million audience impressions, up 281 percent, according to Nielsen BDS. "Besos" also claims the Airplay Gainer tag on Hot Latin Songs as it scoots 36-19, additionally aided by 2,000 first-week downloads of the track. That sum is good for a No. 3 debut Tropical Digital Songs and No. 13 on Latin Digital Songs.
