BTS & Halsey's 'Boy With Luv' Video Officially Crosses the Billion Views Mark on YouTube

Clearly, people are still loving "Boy With Luv," because the music video for the smash hit by BTS and Halsey has officially hit one billion views!

On Wednesday (Oct. 28), YouTube confirmed the K-pop crossover hit had joined the elite Billion Views Club alongside videos like Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX.

Eighteen months after its April 2019 premiere, the video for "Boy With Luv" still ranks among the top five 24-hour debuts in all of YouTube history, surpassed only by Blackpink's "How You Like That" and the Selena Gomez-assisted "Ice Cream" as well as BTS' own "Dynamite," which holds the top spot with a whopping 101.1 million views in its first 24 hours. (Taylor Swift's "Me!" rounds out the upper echelon as the only non-K-pop video in the top five.)

"Boy With Luv" also became the K-pop boy band's highest-charting single at the time of its release, peaking at No. 8 on the Hot 100. (Of course, the idols' future smash hits "On" and "Dynamite" later went on to eclipse the track's previous high water mark -- eventually peaking at No. 4 and No. 1, respectively.)

Meanwhile, Houston's definitive ballad from 1992's The Bodyguard becomes just the fourth video from the '90s to reach the seven-digit milestone on the platform. Azalea's instantly iconic Clueless-inspired visual hit the billion-view mark by averaging 150,000 daily views six years after its initial release in March 2014.
