On Monday (July 6), Chung Ha unveiled the music video for her latest Calypso-inspired single, "Play."

In the visual, the former I.O.I member steps into the shoes of a matador to bullfight against a bright red sports car rather than a bull. "No one will know about you and me/ We gonna play, play, play/ Light up, Oh!/ That’s my way, way, way/ Do it for me/ Uh that’s my bae/ The dance is getting more dizzy/ I want more of your love/ Don’t set me free/ I’mma play you on repeat," she sings on the frenetic chorus as she waves a giant red cloth around and grooves through choreography with her coterie of backup dancers. (English translation provided via lyricstranslate.com.)

The track also features a guest turn from rapper Changmo, who doesn't appear in the video, leaving the South Korean singer to wade through a milky pool of green water littered with flowers as he spits his verse.

Remarkably, "Play" serves as the K-pop idol's seventh single of 2020, following the rapid-fire release of tracks like "Be Yourself," the PH-1-assisted "My Friend," "Stay Tonight," "Everybody Has" and Paul Kim collab "Loveship." Her fourth EP, Flourishing, was released in June of 2019.
