K-pop singer IU released her highly-anticipated collaboration “Eight” with BTS’ Suga on Wednesday (May 6).

"So are you happy now? Finally happy now, yeah?" IU sings on the first verse over twinkling production. "Yeah...forever young," Suga adds on verse two.

An earlier sneak peek featured IU walking into an all-white, futuristic laboratory. Clad in a sheer white dress, IU laid down on the exam room table as the scene cut out to reveal the title and release date for the single.

In addition to Suga providing vocals for the song, he is also credited as the producer.

The premiere signal's IU’s comeback following her 2019 EP Love poem and 2017 full-length album Palette. However, the singer hasn’t been completely out of the spotlight since her last EP. Earlier this year, she dropped “Give You My Heart” for the soundtrack behind the hit Korean drama Crash Landing On You.

Meanwhile, Suga and the rest of the BTS members released Map Of The Soul: 7 in February of this year and are already working on their next album
