For nearly a decade, Korean acts have become an increasing presence on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart with this week proving how much muscle two of its leading groups have in America. From less than a dozen total K-pops songs entering the chart in 2010 to BTS and BLACKPINK taking over a majority of this week's chart is a true celebration of the power K-pop acts -- particularly these two -- have among world-music genres in America.
On the World Digital Song Sales chart dated April 27, 2019, BTS claim 11 spots on the tally, sending all seven of their new Map of the Soul: Persona to the No. 1-7 spots on the chart. In addition to the new songs, former BTS singles are also on the chart with "MIC Drop" featuring Desiigner (at No. 16), "Idol" featuring Nicki Minaj (No. 17), "Fake Love" (No. 18) and "DNA" (No. 25).
