NCT 127 Surprise-Premiere New Single 'Superhuman,' Announce New Album On 'GMA'

K-pop boy band NCT 127 surprised their fandom, NCTzen, today (April 18) with the unexpected premiere of new single “Superhuman” on Good Morning America.

Appearing on the ABC morning show for the first time, nine members of NCT 127 performed the complextro track along with their 2017 single “Cherry Bomb” in the heart of Times Square. Donning metallic-enhanced blazers, the group sang and showed off their "Superhuman"-inspired dance moves, dominating the GMA stage with floor-sweeping twists and twirls that would fit right in at any of the nearby Broadway theaters.

While the GMA appearance by the Seoul-based NCT unit was reported earlier this month, the new single was only announced hours ahead of the group’s performance, along with the news of an upcoming new album from the team. NCT #127 We Are Superhuman will be out on May 24. The group’s fourth EP, it will feature “Superhuman” along with five other tracks: "Highway to Heaven," "Fool," "Jet Lag," "Paper Plane," and "Outro: We Are 127."

NCT 127 are the third K-pop group to appear on GMA, following appearances by BTS and BLACKPINK.

Earlier this week, the group released a new Japanese album, Awaken

One of multiple NCT teams under K-pop company SM Entertainment, NCT 127 are currently in the U.S. ahead of the first local stop of their Neo City: The Origin world tour. The North American leg will kick off in New Jersey next Wednesday (April 24) at the Prudential Center, and take the group to over 10 other cities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico over upcoming weeks.
