NCT 127 to Perform on 'Good Morning America'

K-pop act NCT 127 will hit up Times Square next week. On April 18, the nine on-tour members of the group will perform on Good Morning America.

GMA announced the appearance Thursday (April 11) through its official social-media accounts. The performance will come ahead of the start of the North American leg of NCT 127’s Neo City: The Origin tour, which will kick off in New Jersey at the Prudential Center on April 24. The tour will take the act to cities in Georgia, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, California and Canada throughout April and May.

One of several teams under SM Entertainment’s NCT umbrella, NCT 127’s name refers to Seoul’s longitudinal coordinates, and its full lineup features 10 members hailing from South Korea, Japan, the United States, China and Canada. The group's Regular-Irregular project saw them debut on the Billboard 200 last year, peaking at No. 86 on the chart dated Oct. 27, and earlier this month, the team signed distribution deals with Capitol Music Group and its label service Caroline.

NCT 127 will be the second K-pop act to appear on the American talk show in 2019, and third overall. Their appearance follows BTS' last year and BLACKPINK's earlier this year.

Correction: A prior version of this article stated NCT is the second group to appear on GMA. They are the third.
