Blackpink Hits New K-Pop YouTube Record With 20 Million Subscribers
Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo & Lisa join an elite group of artists to reach the 20 million mark on the streaming platform.
Blackpink just reached another milestone on their road to total pop-culture domination. This week, YouTube announced that the girl group is the first K-pop act to hit 20 million subscribers on their official channel.
The recent Billboard cover stars are just one of 20 artists to ever hit the subscriber milestone.
For context, the girls’ massively popular peers such as BTS and NCT 127 don’t have YouTube channels of their own, with their music videos and other visual content hosted on their labels’ official channels.
Last month, Blackpink made their official U.S. television debut with a performance of smash hit “Ddu-du Ddu-du” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. This spring, they’re set to headline their first U.S. tour and, in April, will become the first K-pop girl group to ever take the stage at Coachella.
