K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE returned today (Feb. 26) with the release of their addicting new single, “Senorita.”

The Latin pop-themed dance track incorporates castanets and jazzy brass horns alongside groovy rhythmic strings and sleek electronic effects. The song features the women confidently relaying their emotions to a "Senor," who seemingly chants out the song's title in th post-chorus.

The track was written by Soyeon in collaboration with Bicksancho of Yummy Tree. It fronts the group’s second EP, I Made, a follow up to last year’s I Am, and is the act’s first new single since last year's "Hann (Alone)." Soyeon co-composed all of the songs on the album aside from the final track, "Blow Your Mind," which Minnie composed with Flow Blow.

The accompanying music video for “Senorita” takes the six members of (G)I-DLE to what appears to be a brightly-hued hotel full of danger, including razor blade-filled lollipops, dangling cranes, electrocution via hairdryer, and fires. It's fantastical and full of fierce moments as the six stare down the camera and perform their charismatic dance moves.

The video’s release also marks the partnership between (G)I-DLE and Memebox’s new Kaja cosmetic line. Throughout, the members of the act wear and interact with Kaja makeup products.

One of the most prominent new acts on the K-pop scene, (G)I-dle arrived last year with their pair of hit singles “Latata” and “Hann,” and rapidly gained major attention for their dynamic performance style. The group gained global prominence when two members, Soyeon and Miyeon, participated in League of Legend’s virtual girl group K/DA; their song “POP/STAR” with Jaira Burns and Madison Beer landed atop the World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1 in November.
