As in years past, SXSW will be seeing several Korean artists descend on Austin for the annual Korea Spotlight event.

Presented by the Korea Creative Content Agency, an affiliate of South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the 2019 Korea Spotlight event will take place on March 13 at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. It will feature boy band iKON, pop diva Chung Ha, EDM producer Hitchhiker, tradition-meets-rock band Jambinai, counter-culture hip-hop duo XXX, and and solo electronic artist Kirara.

Each of the artists bring a different element and musical style to SXSW, whether it’s Chung Ha -- who grew up in Dallas -- and her sleek dance-pop performances or XXX’s thought-provoking rhymes.

The event will mark iKON’s first performance in the U.S. since the release of its first album Welcome Back in 2015. The boy band is produced by YG Entertainment, also the home of BIGBANG and BLACKPINK. Last year was their most successful yet, with the release of their hit single "Love Scenario" and follow up tracks, including "Killing Me" and "Goodbye Road."

Primary entrance will be restricted to SXSW Music and Platinum badge holders, and secondary entry made available to those with Music Festival and Artist wristbands, as well as Interactive and Film badge holders.

All but Chung Ha, Kirara, and iKON have performed at SXSW in the past.
