K-pop boy band Monsta X re-released their latest single in English today (Nov. 9). “Shoot Out” came out originally on Oct. 22, and fronted their Take.1 Are You There? album.

The new version of the thumping dance track maintains the song's original dynamic attitude and contains similar lyrics, along with the angst-filled, haunting imagery of someone expressing their pain from a dangerous love. “Love’s like a shoot-out,” the members sing, repeating the titular phrase in the hook-filled chorus. “Reckless shoot-out...if this is already over, if there’s nothing to restore/ Hope has no meaning to me no more.”

The English variant of “Shoot Out” features lyrics written by Seo Jieum and Monsta X's Jooheon and I.M, a rep tells Billboard.

“Shoot Out” is the first single Monsta X has remade as an English track, and its release precedes several upcoming performances by the band at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball events. They will first appear at the Los Angeles-area event hosted by 102.7 KIIS FM on Nov. 30, and then head to San Francisco (Dec. 1), Minneapolis (Dec. 3), Boston (Dec. 4), and Philadelphia (Dec. 5).

While already available on digital music platforms, the English version of “Shoot Out” will premiere today on JoJo Wright on Los Angeles' 102.7 KIIS FM. Take a listen to the song here:
