MRSHLL Drops 'Alien (Issa Mixtape)'

Celeste Kriel
MRSHLL

It’s been a few months since we last heard from MRSHLL, but the Korean-American singer is back with a brand-new mixtape this week. The first openly gay artist in the K-pop scene served up six empowering, anthemic tracks on his Alien (Issa Mixtape), released Wednesday.

Fronted by the confident "Rull It Out," a dynamic house track, MRSHLL (Marshall Bang) teamed up with Min, formerly of miss A, and AOMG rapper Ugly Duck. It's followed by the titular "Alien," a groovy dance track that features EPTEND, and exemplifies the mixtape’s aim at reportedly being an album for “aliens and misfits.”

The mixtape also includes the taunting "shxt," which features rapper Junoflo and MRSHLL describes as being "a kiss-off to haters."

Signed to Feel Ghood Music, headed by Tiger JK and Yoonmirae, this is MRSHLL’s second album-length release. It follows the release of his his first EP Breathe in June.

Alien (Issa Mixtape) is currently available on Stateside digital music stores. Take a listen to it here:
