"Thank you so much for your support," the EXO member shared in a message celebrating his chart feat.

Lay makes a big entrance on Billboard's Social 50 chart this week and took the time to thank the people who made it happen: the fans.

The Chinese singer and member of boy band EXO, real name Zhang Yixing, debuts at No. 10 this week, concurrent with the arrival of the music video for his new solo single “Give Me a Chance” on Oct. 6, released in conjunction with his 27th birthday. The single, which was recorded in both English and Chinese, was co-written with "Mine" singer Bazzi. Lay also promoted the release of his second full-length album, NAMANANA, out Oct. 19.

Lay’s overall social media engagement for the week is led by 774,000 mentions on Twitter -- many of which were also happy birthday messages -- alongside 226,000 Twitter reactions and 38,000 new followers on the service. EXO also contributed to the rollout of Lay’s new single, promoting “Chance” (and the singer’s birthday) on its official channels. The boy band as a whole drops 4-5 this week. Lay's bandmate Baekhyun is the only other EXO member to land on Social 50, peaking at No. 2 earlier this month.

Lay took to Twitter to thank those helping him make his big debut in a recorded message in English. “Just heard that I made the Billboard social chart top 10,” he told his current crop of 869,000 followers. “Thank you so much for your support, I can’t wait for you all to hear my new album.” Watch the shout out in full below.
