K-pop boy band Stray Kids let things get a bit “Awkward” in a playful new video released on Monday (Aug. 27) from the rookie nonet off their I am WHO EP released earlier this month. Donning prep-leisure looks that blend blazers and ties with hoodies and sweats, the members joke around and dance to the funky melody, and play up its title with the incorporation of a few awkward moments disrupting the flow, cawing bird sound effects and all.

Written by Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, collectively known as 3racha, with collaborator TIME, “Awkward Silence” follows “My Pace” as the second video from I am WHO, which peaked at No. 5 on the World Albums chart, where it currently sits at No. 13 on the chart dated Sept. 1. The lighthearted vibe of “Awkward Silence” is a new look for Stray Kids, whose prior videos have typically aimed for dramatic bombast.

I am WHO is Stray Kids’ third EP, following March's debut album, I am NOT and their pre-debut Mixtape, released in January and featuring songs performed during the 2017 reality show through which the band was introduced to audiences. Each of the group’s albums have appeared on the World Albums chart, with Mixtape debuting at No. 2, and both of the I am albums peaking at No. 5.
