Another two K-pop acts are heading to the Los Angeles-area KCON in August. On Thursday (June 14), KCON USA announced that KCON 2018 LA will feature the boy band Seventeen and the girl group Fromis_9. They are two of seven acts currently announced for the event’s headlining concerts.

The 13-member group released their first Japanese EP, We Make You, in May, fronted by the single “Call Call Call.” It was preceded by their Korean Special Director's Cut EP in February, which peaked at No. 2 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The album was fronted by the future bass track "Thanks."

Fromis_9 was formed through the Korean program Idol School, which aired last year on Mnet, a co-producer of KCON along with parent company CJ E&M. They recently released their second EP To. Day, which was fronted by the infectious electro-pop single “DKDK.”

This will mark Fromis_9’s first trip to KCON LA, while Seventeen attended the West Coast event last year. They join Chung Ha, Crush, Dynamic Duo, Momoland and Wanna One as performers at the Korean pop culture convention and music festival.

KCON 2018 LA will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Staples Center on August 10-12. It will be preceded by the East Coast counterpart KCON 2018 NY on June 23-24; it will be held at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center.
