BTS Release Rock Remix of 'Spring Day' To Kick Off 5th Anniversary Festa Event
The septet kicked off their 2018 Festa celebration with a new version of the 2017 single.
BTS is celebrating their fifth anniversary with the release of an alternate, rock version of last year’s sentimental hit “Spring Day,” the group’s first song to break into the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
The rock version of the song was performed by BTS’ band Ghost, according to the Soundcloud credits. It was originally unveiled at South Korean channel KBS' 2017 year-end music festival on Dec. 29. The song was released in February of last year.
Its release on Soundcloud served as the “opening ceremony” of BTS’ annual anniversary event, dubbed BTS Festa. This year’s Festa commemorates the group’s fifth since they debuted as BTS on June 12, 2013 with “No More Dream.”
“Spring Day” is the second song to have a rock version released this weekend, following an extended cut of “Fake Love” that came out on Friday (June 1).
BTS recently made history by topping the Billboard 200 with the first non-predominantly English album of this decade, Love Yourself: Tear, and breaking into the top tiers of the Hot 100 with the single "Fake Love" reaching No. 10. The album falls to No. 6 on this week’s charts, dated June 9.
