AOA "Bingle Bangle"

It is the group's first single since ChoA left the act last year.

K-pop girl group AOA returned with a new song of summer on Monday, May 28. Their latest single “Bingle Bangle” is a saccharine pop track infused with folksy instrumentals and a whistling melody. It was released with a playful music video that emulated the song’s lively melody.

The bright music video transforms the members of AOA into roller-diner waitresses in a video game, serving up pixels to customers with member Mina controlling them from a Nintendo Cube game console and comically reacting to the gameplay. Blending bright animations and retro-inspired sets, “Bingle Bangle” the music video also features the six women performing the song’s hip-shaking and split-featuring choreography as they don sporty, ‘80s-inspired looks.

“Bingle Bangle” leads the group’s fifth EP, of the same name. The six-track album is their first releases since last year’s Angel's Knock, which went to No. 5 on the World Album chart. It reintroduces the group as a six-member act following the departure of lead vocalist ChoA last year.

Along with the single, Bingle Bangle features five other tracks that draws on disco, Latin pop, smooth retro R&B, trap and a variety of other genres to craft a bright, summer K-pop album. Label mate Yonghwa of CNBLUE penned the lyrics to "Ladi Dadi."
