A Full Timeline Of BTS' U.S. TV Appearances
Korean boy band BTS made their first nationwide televised appearance at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, and haven't slowed down ever since. They've collected a wide-range of accolades ranging from making history on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts to speaking at The UN and being certified gold by the RIAA. They've also spent a bit of time Stateside filming for a variety of American television shows.
Here’s a look back at BTS’ appearances on American TV so far.
2017 Billboard Music Awards
The group appeared at last year’s BBMAs, where they became the first K-pop group to win an award when they were recognized as the Top Social Artist of 2017. Their acceptance speech ended up as a track on their record-breaking Love Yourself: Her album.
The entertainment news show interviewed BTS on the red carpet at the BBMAs in May and followed up with an interview in November.
Like E!, Entertainment Tonight got its first taste of BTS at the BBMAs and did a follow-up interview when they came back to the U.S. in November to perform at the AMAs.
The Late Late Show with James Corden
The seven members of BTS played a game of “Flinch” with the late night host before performing.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
BTS surprised some local ARMY, and their moms, on Kimmel, and also held a concert for the Los Angeles-area to see them perform several of their hits. Some songs were aired, while the rest of the concert was uploaded online for audiences around the world to enjoy.
The Los Angeles news station had the members of BTS on during their morning show while the group was in town for the AMAs.
2017 American Music Awards
Their first-ever set at an American music awards show, BTS captivated the AMA crowd and at-home viewers with a rendition of “DNA,” one of the final performances of the event.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show
DeGeneres spoke to the members of BTS on her daytime talk show, where the group also shocked some fans -- and themselves -- during a behind-the-scenes clip.
The group would go on to appear on Ellen yet again when in town for the 2018 BBMAs.

BTS rung in 2018 with a performance during the iconic New Year’s Eve event.
2018 Billboard Music Awards
The group took home the top social artist award for the second year in the row, and performed "Fake Love."
America's Got Talent
The septet brought "Idol" to AGT in September.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
BTS did the Fortnite dance challenge with Fallon on The Tonight Show, and spoke to him about their "Speak Yourself" message relayed in their UN speech.
The band also performed "I'm Fine" off-air.

The septet spoke with Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan about their tour and Love Yourself series.
