The app shares that the "Mic Drop" remix was scoring tons of activity in America, Indonesia, The Philippines & beyond.
From identifying that catchy song on the radio to unlocking exclusive artist content, Shazam has become an integral part of any musician's success story so it's no surprise that BTS has become the first K-pop group to score a million Shazams.
Earlier today, Shazam shared that BTS' "Mic Drop" remix with Steve Aoki and Desiigner had been identified by the app one million times -- a first for a K-pop group. The company shares exclusively with Billboard that the song was first Shazamed in France on Nov. 16, 2017, curiously about a week before its official worldwide release date on Nov. 24. But since then, Shazam reveals that the "Mic Drop" remix has been identified in every country of the world with the United States leading among all nations, followed by Indonesia, The Philippines, Russia and Canada.
