BTS' Jungkook & Roy Kim Cover Each Other's Songs: Listen

BTS’ Jungkook and Korean-American balladeer Roy Kim shared a musical bromance with the world this week, when the pair paid homage to one another through covers of each other's songs.

The call-and-response songs began on Tuesday, March 13, when the youngest member of the immensely popular K-pop boy band uploaded a cover of Kim’s “Only Then,” released in February and a hit in South Korea, to Soundcloud. The audio file quickly racked up over 1.8 million listens, and Kim took to Twitter to express his approval of Jungkook’s “beautiful” cover. He then followed up Wednesday with a cover of his own on Instagram, sharing a short clip of himself performing BTS’ 2016 hit “Spring Day.”

Both Kim and the BTS vocalist have frequently covered songs throughout their careers in the K-pop industry. Fans first became aware of Jungkook’s cover of Kim’s song when the BTS member shared a brief clip of the cover last month.
