The four remaining members of SHINee will continue with their planned Japanese concert series next month, the band members confirmed on Tuesday (Jan. 9) in their first public statements following the passing of band member Jonghyun.
SHINee’s Onew (Lee Jinki), Key (Kim Kibum), Minho (Choi Minho), and Taemin (Lee Taemin) uploaded handwritten letters to the band's official website in which they reflect on their decision to push on with the previously-scheduled SHINee World The Best 2018 - From Now On tour dates in Tokyo and Osaka next month. The messages were shared just over three weeks after Jonghyun (Kim Jonghyun) died by suicide on Dec. 18.
“Many people are worried about us, but we decided to do the planned Japanese shows,” Key wrote. “This decision is something that Jonghyun would want from us, and I believe that it's the most SHINee-like thing to do, to keep our promise to the fans and put on great performances.”
