BTS Thanks Fans for 'Love Yourself: Her' & 'DNA' Success on Billboard Charts

"Love yourself is a universal message for teens all over the world," the band says.

With Love Yourself: Her sitting high on the Billboard 200 at No. 7 and "DNA" at No. 85 on the Hot 100, BTS has been having a very good week: They've become the highest ranked K-pop act ever on the former chart and the only K-pop act to ever appear on both of Billboard's primary charts at once.

A lot of hard work and an outpouring of support from their loyal ARMY fan base led to this point and the Korean act won't forget it anytime soon.

"Love yourself is a universal message for teens all over the world," the group told Billboard in a joint statement, drawing on the album’s title for inspiration. "Wherever you might be or whatever language you speak, we are all sharing the same humanity. Love always start with you, your acceptance and compassion for yourself."

BTS continued, "Our dreams are coming true this week with a number one entrance to 73 countries on iTunes, and we are excited to share it with ARMY. We are very thankful for Billboard's support from the beginning, and excited that Love Yourself: Her is charting at No. 7 on the Hot 200 and No. 85 on the HOT 100 for "DNA" on the Billboard charts.”

The album and single’s success comes a few months after BTS took home the top social artist award at the Billboard Music Awards in May, drawing attention from international media as the first K-pop boy band to ever win a BBMA. Love Yourself: Her commemorated the occasion by including Rap Monster’s speech from the ceremony as a skit track on the EP.

Along with celebrating their success, BTS also express a desire to return to the States. “We can't wait to come back to the US as we make our way around the world again!" they said.

Aside from the main charts, BTS also appeared on multiple other Billboard charts this week, including the World Album Chart, Artist 100 and they remain No. 1 on the Social 50.
