Member Yunho will release “Drop” on Sept. 25 and Changmin will follow up with "In a Different Life" on the 28th.

Two years since TVXQ! released Rise As God, the K-pop icons have announced they will share new music to mark their return to the industry after completing their obligatory military service.

According to SM Entertainment's official Twitter account, the pair will partake in a special TVXQ!-themed week that will conclude with the release of two singles. Member Yunho will release “Drop” on Sept. 25 and Changmin will follow up with "In a Different Life" on the 28th.

The week also will feature the group partaking in and releasing a variety of content in anticipation of their comeback. To kick things off today (Sept. 2),  TVXQ! held their first livestream through V App, an app popular among K-pop fans.

This will be the second time that has twosome released near-simultaneous solo tracks; in 2015, Changmin’s “Rise as One” and Yunho’s “Champagne” served as the singles of Rise As God, though the album as a whole predominantly featured tracks sung by both artists.

Though they’ve been on hiatus for two years, TVXQ! had an extensive effect on the K-pop industry ever since their debut in 2003 and became leaders during the early days of K-pop’s international expansion. Even after a tumultuous split that turned the act from a quintet into a duo, the act has remained popular and saw albums in 2014 and 2012 peak in the top 10 of the World Albums chart.
