Zico, Crush & Dean Reach New Heights on World Digital Songs Chart With 'Bermuda Triangle'
While Korea's R&B and hip-hop stars haven't broken out like their bubbelgum-pop rivals, a new collaboration is proving that synergy in those rising genres can create chart magic.
Zico enlisted both Crush and Dean for his new single "Bermuda Triangle" that sees the Block B rapper and in-demand producer rapping braggadocio alongside the R&B wunderkinds' aggressive vocal deliveries. The all-star collaboration helps all three acts hit new highs on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart as it debuts at No. 3 and is this week's top-selling K-pop song in America.
The No. 3 debut marks new chart highs for all three artists. Previously, Zico had peaked as high as No. 4 on World Digital Songs with his single "I Am You, You Are Me" from January this year. Meanwhile, Dean had only charted as high as No. 12 with a single via "Bonnie & Clyde" in March, though he did reach No. 6 with Taeyeon's "Starlight" as a featured artist. "Bermuda Triangle" marks Crush's first appearance on World Digital Songs.
Crush previously hinted that "Bermuda Triangle" wouldn't be the only collaboration between himself, Zico and Dean so look out for more collaborations (and potentially more chart domination) in 2017.
