WINNER Returns to Top 5 of World, Heatseekers Album Charts
After nearly a year and a half after their debut, WINNER is quickly climbing back to the top of the charts. The boy band's new EP Exit soars into the top five of Billboard's World Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts this week.
On World Albums, Exit starts at No. 2. It follows their debut full-length 2014 S/S, which opened at No. 1 on the chart. Meanwhile, Exit begins at No. 3 on the Heatseekers Album chart, a new peak for the band who previously sent S/S to No. 6 in 2014. The high marks on Heatseekers indicates the album wasn't too far off from an entry on the Billboard 200.
Exit is being promoted by two singles and boasts three music videos: the country-recalling "Baby Baby" ballad, the rock-pop jam "Sincerely," along with a music video for "I'm Young," a solo track performed by member Taehyun. The three visuals have garnered nearly eight million views since their Jan. 31 reveal.
WINNER has announced plans to drop several EPs this year and exploring different sounds which could lead to lots of exciting chart movement throughout 2016.
