Shinhwa & VIXX Join KCON 2015 Lineups, Ticket Prices Revealed
Tickets start going on sale on June 18.
The KCON 2015 lineup grows with two new boy bands added to the mix. Shinhwa joins the K-pop festival's west coast date while VIXX will be heading east.
South Korea's longest-running boy band, Shinhwa is the fourth act confirmed for the fest's Los Angeles convention and concerts that run July 31 to Aug. 2. After debuting in 1998, the band kept their popularity high by consistently dropping albums throughout their almost-20-year career. The six members most recently dropped their 12th full-length album, We, in February, which hit No. 6 on Billboard's World Albums chart.
Despite so long in the industry, KCON marks one of the very few U.S. performances for the outfit. They join previously announced performers Super Junior, AOA and Block B.
Meanwhile, VIXX will attend KCON's New York date on Aug. 8. This marks the band's third overall KCON appearance after the sextet performed the inaugural KCON in 2012 along with last year's festivities. They'll hit the Prudential Center with Girls' Generation, who also performed at KCON 2014.
VIXX was recently in America, performing concerts in New York and Chicago in November. The band since released their new single "Love Equation" in February, which peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart.
KCON has also revealed when its tickets will go on sale along with price tiers and fan packages. For New York's single-day convention and concert experience, tickets run from $50 to $220. Meanwhile L.A.'s two days of concerts and three days of convention have tickets running from $50 to combo packages up to $400. See below when each date goes on sale:
