While it's not clear to what capacity "Fantastic Baby" will be used in the film, a sync in a movie like Pitch Perfect is yet another win for Korean music that has seemingly penetrated yet another traditional media source.
In the last year, K-pop acts have been featured in American magazines (Girls' Generation, f(x) and 2NE1 snagged stories in Nylon), television shows (BtoB made a cameo on America's Next Top Model alongside 2NE1), and even commercials and radio (Microsoft utilized 2NE1's "I Am the Best" which helped it garner U.S. radio play).
