Epik High also snags three entries on World Digital Songs, the highest being "Born Hater" featuring Beenzino, Verbal Jint, WINNER's Mino and iKON's BI and Bobby at No. 5.
The chart-topper is likely particularly exciting for member Tablo who just barely missed a solo No. 1 on World Albums when his Fever's End: Part 2 EP bowed at No. 2 in November 2011. The rapper/producer's Fever's End Part 1 EP hit No. 4 in November 2011 too.
2NE1 Keeps Being "The Best": The interest for 2NE1's "I Am the Best" stays high. As the track continues to be used in a Microsoft, it's sales and radio play remain steady from last week.
The K-pop hit spends another week at No. 2 on the World Digital Songs chart. As well, in the Nielsen BDS tracking week ending Oct. 26, "Best" received 23 plays on WODS Boston and 16 on WBMP New York, both of which first began playing it this month. The Top 40 exposure translate to 499,000 audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS.
No 'Error' on VIXX's Part: Rising K-pop boy band VIXX also earn its highest entry on World Albums with its Error: 2nd Mini Album EP at No. 3. The sextet had previously peaked as high as No. 7 with 2013's Hyde. The title track "Error" debuts at No. 4 on World Digital Songs.
Since the release of Hyde in May 2013, the outfit has performed in America twice as part of their world tour and held a performance at KCON 2014. They return to the U.S. in November for two more showcases.
The Legend Returns: K-pop trailblazer Seo Taiji makes his first appearance on World Albums with his Quiet Night LP. His first release in five years, the album saw two singles hit the World Digital Songs: "Christmalo.Win" at No. 21 and "Sogyeokdong" featuring IU also at No. 21.
Going big in Japan: Two relatively new acts make big splashes on the Japan Hot 100 with their debut singles in the territory. GOT7's "All Around the World" soars to No. 4 this week, up from No. 20 last week. Meanwhile, a Japanese-language version of Apink's "NoNoNo" (which peaked at No. 2 on the K-Pop Hot 100) flies in at No. 6.
