"Something" MV

After finishing a day of recording at K-pop music chart show "Music Core," TVXQ! invited Billboard to their label's Seoul offices for an exclusive video interview. The K-pop kings share the concept behind their jazzy hit "Something," favorite tracks off new album "Tense" and more at SM Entertainment HQ.

"The motif for our title track 'Something,' comes from big band sounds, which we combined with both classical and modern elements on top of TVXQ!’s own individual sound," says Yunho of their latest hit "Something," that peaked at No. 7 on K-Pop Hot 100. "If we focused on showing charismatic performances [for our prior promotions], this time around we wanted to put more focus on music. It’s a song that shows a different side of TVXQ!, as well as incorporating performances with our signature musical color. We ask people to first listen to 'Something' then watch the accompanying performance. It will make us happy if we can all enjoy it together."

The duo also revealed their personal favorite tracks on "Tense." Yunho picked "Beside" as his favorite track, saying "It's a song with a bit of playfulness and an added layer of sophistication that is different from what TVXQ! usually shows.”  Meanwhile, Changmin opted for sensuous R&B joint "Love Again" as the duo’s unique vocal colors make a “great harmony.”
