She scored her fifth Hot 100 No. 1 following her performance of "Up" as part of a medley with Megan Thee Stallion at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on March 14. Cardi extends her record for the most Hot 100 No. 1s among female rappers, and she is the first female rapper with two Hot 100 No. 1s (including her inaugural leader, "Bodak Yellow," from 2017) with no accompanying artists.
At the time "Bodak Yellow" reached the summit in September 2017, Cardi was just the second female rapper to top the Hot 100 without any other billed artists, following Lauryn Hill's first solo Hot 100 entry (apart from the Fugees), "Doo Wop (That Thing)." She was also the fifth female rapper to ever top the all-genre tally.
