Nicki Minaj Gushes Over the 'Gorgeous Gifts' Ariana Grande Sent Her Baby Boy After His Birth

The new mom also shouted out Ciara during a Q&A about her motherhood journey.

Nicki Minaj took to social media on Wednesday (Dec. 30) to spill the tea all about her pregnancy and life as a new mom.

During the fan Q&A on Twitter, the rapper opened up more than she ever has about her new baby boy with husband Kenneth Petty, whose name and photo she has so far kept private since his Sept. 30 birth.

"I was actually in labor all night but all they did was let me sleep until I dilated far enough to push. The epidural didn’t hurt either. They numbed me up real good. So I took my ass right to sleep," she wrote after one fan asked about her experience giving birth, also revealing her water broke at home before she and Petty rushed to the hospital.

"As soon as I started scooting over to him in the bed I just felt the water start coming out," Minaj added. "I was weirdly calm & I quietly said 'omg, I’m about to be in labor' He was very scared & I was laughing @ him."

As for the support she's received from celeb pals since welcoming her son, the star revealed Ariana Grande "sent him some gorgeous gifts" and credited fellow mom Ciara for being "sooooooo helpful" with advice. (Minaj has collaborated with Grande numerous times in recent years, from joining forces with Jessie J for "Bang Bang" in 2014 to featuring on the diminutive pop star's Dangerous Woman-era smash "Side to Side" in 2016 and Sweetener promo track "The Light is Coming" in 2018, while she and Ciara teamed up for the latter's 2013 single "I'm Out.")

Minaj also shared her ultra-relatable experience with a newborn, dishing that while the baby latched in the hospital, the breastfeeding process has been anything but easy for her.

"He had no problem breastfeeding. He latched on in the hospital which was very surprising to me. I was afraid maybe he wouldn’t," she wrote. "But breast feeding is very painful. Pumping is too. Women make this stuff look way too easy. Moms r really superheroes."
