Chrissy Teigen and John Legend arrives at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen may be vacationing in St. Bart's at the moment, but that didn't stop the model from throwing together an impromptu game show to ring in her hubby's 42nd birthday.

"For John's birthday, we created the ultimate 'math-off' competition," Teigen revealed on her Instagram Stories on Monday (Dec. 29) as the theme music to Jeopardy! played in the background. She then turned the camera to reveal Legend and pal Mike Rosenthal ready to face off in their best math nerd get-ups, complete with bow ties, suspenders and taped-together glasses.

From there, the model turned out her best hosting skills for the game, wielding a sparkly mic to deliver a 40-question sixth grade math test to the participants. "And we're back," she said while brandishing colorful note cards. "Welcome to the 42nd annual math-off competition! We have John R. Stephens from Springfield, Ohio and Mike J. Rosenthal from Los Angeles, California today competing for the title of math-off champion. Let's see who'll win."

"If we teach you anything in life, marry the nerd," Rosenthal's wife, celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, later quipped as she and Teigen watched their husbands studiously hunched over their problem sets.

Ultimately, it seems Legend's grasp of middle-school math has hilariously, and understandably, loosened over the years. "All the fractions and the exponents, I do not remember how to treat them," he admitted before Teigen revealed him as the competition's winner. ("I feel like I might get laid tonight," he cheekily told his wife in her post-game show interview, while proudly holding his first-place trophy.)

Before heading off on vacation, The Voice coach lent his name to Stacey Abrams' virtual Rock the Runoff concert on Dec. 3 to support the Georgian run-off election, and also received the United Nations Human Rights' High Note Global Prize for his ongoing social justice work.
